Willie Mullins trains from Closutton in County Carlow and has for years been the pre-eminent National Hunt trainer in Ireland and Britain, sending out a relentless stream of Grade 1 winners. His yard's strength in depth is unmatched, and he routinely saddles multiple contenders in the biggest races.
For punters, the Mullins operation is central to reading the top jumps races: his runners are often short in the market for good reason, but the sheer number he fields means the yard's own 'second strings' can carry real each-way claims.
