Proofing

Registered before the off. Graded against the result.

Proofing is only meaningful if it can't be edited after the fact. Here's exactly how we record and settle every tip.

Algohorse is a machine-learning horse racing tips service covering UK, Irish and Hong Kong racing. Every selection is registered in a ledger with its price before the race, locked (never edited or deleted), graded automatically against the official result, and published here — losers included. The live record currently stands at 356 settled selections, with 65.7% placed and 58.7% beating the market's closing price. Since July 2026, each morning's complete card is also committed with a SHA-256 fingerprint published before racing, so the record can be independently verified.

The record so far — live

Computed straight from the ledger (356 settled tips, 2026-07-16 → 2026-08-23) — the same numbers members see, updated after every day's grading. Every figure carries its 95% range; non-runners are voided, never counted.

The loop, every day

  • Register. Each morning the model's selections are written to a ledger with the price available — timestamped, before the race.
  • Lock. Once a tip is registered it isn't edited or deleted. Losers stay on the record next to winners.
  • Grade. After racing, each tip is settled automatically: placed or not, and whether the registered price beat the starting price (CLV).
  • Report. Place strike, CLV and calibration are computed straight from the ledger — each with sample size and confidence intervals. We don't headline an ROI, because your return depends on your stakes and the prices you take.

Latest committed card — 2026-08-23

At publish time each morning — before racing — we compute a SHA-256 fingerprint of the complete selection list (every horse, race, tier and registered price) and publish it here and to an independently-timestamped channel. Change one character of one selection afterwards and the fingerprint no longer matches. The latest:

Why pre-off registration is the whole point

Anyone can post a winner after it's won. The only honest test is whether a selection and its price existed before the result was known. That's why our CLV figure is the headline: it can only be computed from a price that was logged ahead of time and compared to a public closing price.

Where we are right now

The record above is live and still young — we publish it with its error bars rather than waiting for it to look impressive. As the sample grows the full breakdown (by tier, region and month) will appear here too, and we intend to add independent third-party verification so you never have to take our word for it. Yesterday's graded card — losers included — is always public on the dated racing pages under Racing.
